My senior art exhibit was in 2022 and my work explored the beautiful enigma of nature.

I’ve always had an attraction to nature. Ever since I could remember I was either at the beach, hiking in the woods, or in the car with my siblings going to or coming from either one. My parents were artist that loved to keep plants all over the house like a jungle, I think it also reminded my mom of her childhood home in the Philippines. I always thought about how the plants brought so much life into a space, how their growth grew inspiration in so many creative ways. My motivation for the art I create is to illustrate my experience as a child growing up so close to nature and to imitate the beauty in nature as I see it. Using photography, painting, and ceramics with influences from the forest and ocean, I aim to express some of the surreal surroundings I was fortunate to grow up with.
